This will work with any theme. If it "appears" like its not working for you, then most likely you are using CACHING. You need to FLUSH the cache to see the change, if you are using caching. Some hosts force caching on you, if this is the case you need to figure out how to flush it.

Theres a much easier way to do this, just go to the wordpress dashboard and on the left find Theme Panel and under Getting Started find Footer Bottom Options, click on Go To Option and then just delete the copyright or change it to what you want it to be and hit publish.

how you flush the cache?
I try to remove the copyright as YouTube and i get all the time (Unable to communicate back with site to check for fatal errors, so the PHP change was reverted. You will need to upload your PHP file change by some other means, such as by using SFTP.) so what I have to do

If you want your copyright to be in the middle, go to paragraph (visual) and click on middle paragraph style then copy it in text format and paste it in "replace"
This worked the first time I did it but it went away now I tried it again and I can't even find the copyright on source page I type it in with no results any new update for this? thanks.
