This is a wonderful video Pat, thanks for reminding me why I started collecting HotWheels and other Toys from my child hood. When I was about 8 years old, my step dad would take me to the department store and let me pick 1 or 2 HotWheels or Matchbox cars, every payday, about once a month. As I grew up I kept buying, love the hobby.
Wait until he finds out that he bought all these cards from PWCC and they're trimmed. Lol.
Hi Great video. I collect all sports cards. After 24 years I got back into the hobby. I use to collect when I was a kid. What got me back into it is, my wife and I was at a thrift store. My wife found a bag of baseball cards for $5 with 200 cards. We bought it when to the card and open the bag we found Kenny Griffin Jr Rookie card, Jose Canseco rookie card, Cal Ripken Rookie card, after that we were hooked. I also found out that day that my wife of 15 years use to collected sports cards too. Now we do it together..
I collect old alarm clocks. 😀
Loved this video! I’m a card collector as well!!
Really awesome cards!!!!
Great video and stellar collection! If you have a chance check out some of our stuff. Nothing bigtime but still cool. Great work bud
Cool video. Your collection is the best I've ever seen.

MY FAV HOBBY//PASSION IS COLLECTING & WEARING COLGONE FRAGRANCES SO FAR I HAVE 102 BOTTLES
???
I FIRMLY BELIEVE IN KEEPING OUR CHILDLIKE ENTHUSIASM I STILL HAVE MINE FOR WRESTLING BC MY GRANDFATHER USE TO WATCH PRO WRESTLING BEFORE ANYONE EVER KNEW IT WAS SCRIPTED.
MY GRANDFATHER WAS A NATIVE CHIEF SO HE LOVED WATCHING CHIEF WAHOO MCDANIELS & CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW, ETC THAT LED ME TO WATCH SINCE I WAS 2 IN 1982 I'M 39 NOW AS I WRITE THIS THAT LED TO ME WATCHING NATIVE WRSSTLERS LIKE TATANKA IN THE 1990'S BC I KNEW MY LATE GRANDFATHER WAS WATCHING ME WATCH TATANKA WHO HE WOULD HAVE ABSOLUTELY L?VED.
THE POINT BEING I'M MAKING TO CONNECT THE DOTS HERE IS THIS THAT IF MY GRANDFATHER DIDN'T HAVE HIS 2 YEAR OLD ENTHUSIASM FOR HIS PASSION OF WRESTLING I WOULDN'T HAVE MY 2 YEAR OLD PASSION FOR THE SAME LOVE THAT HE ESTABLISHED AS SUCH A COOL UNIQUE PASSING OF THE TORCH SO TO SPEAK.
WRESTLING AS WE KNOW IT HAS DRASTICALLY CHANGED BC OF SOCIAL MEDIA ETC BUT THE EMPHASIS ON PASSIONATE ENTHUSIASM REMAINS THE SAME TODAY AS IT DID FOR MY LATE GRANDFATHER.
YOU SEE I WAS 2 WHEN MY GRANDFATHER MY HERO DIED. BUT TO THIS DAY HIS ENTHUSIASM HIS PASSION OF WRESTLING ?LIT? A F?RE INTO ME SO BRIGHT ? THAT IT CAN NEVER BE ⌛EXTINGUISHED.⏳
I made a video of my sports card collection https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq9Kf7yiQvA
Collect sports cards and Pokemon cards. Love your collection hope to one day to have a collection like yours. Just picked up a Patrick mahomes and giannis rookie card.
Great Inspirational video….and very informative….What's in your wallet?
I've been collecting/investing in pre 70 HOF'ers in investment grade (centered with good eye appeal) in PSA and SGC holders. From 1887 thru 1941 I prefer SGC, from 1947 thru 1970 it's PSA. Prices have really shot up in the last 3 years and I believe the future is very bright as an alternative investment plus, I enjoy old cards. Great show
Couldn't agree with you more about having a hobby you enjoyed as a kid, keeping your childhood alive and energizing yourself with it. BTW, I just picked up a '39 Williams in a PSA 4.5, what a great ballplayer. Cheers.
Any Pete rose?
Dam! Nice collection ?
That’s a great collection. I had a nice one that I spent a long time building that I sold about 6 years ago when my daughter was born. I think about it once a week at least since I sold it. I completely regret getting rid of them. They made me so happy. Nothing like your collection but it was worth 50- 60k.
I collect lebron autographed rookie cards… the values in this video are extremely over inflated. Go to eBay's sold section to look for current prices.
This dude is an unbelievably high ranking douche in the douche bag Army!!
I was always a big Mickey Mantle fan…. shut up dick boy! Im 43yo and was always a big Babe Ruth Fan so I know what your saying!!
That 1933 Ruth was trimmed by one of PWCC's goons!!
Nice collection! Booyah! ????
I collect Benchwarmer cards, they do keep me dreaming and motivating me.
You are a very serious collector. It would nice if you can get the BVG10 Bobby Orr opc rc. You can trade that opc PSA10 Gretzky rc for a Lexus LFA if you want. By the way, I collect tennis rackets.
I am a collector/investor…can't understand why you collect mid grade BVG's when PSA would be a better choice….and you're collecting these in 7's and 7.5's etc. A solid PSA 8 or higher with great eye appeal and centering would be the smarter choice. Clue: SGC from 1887 thru 1941…..then PSA 1947 to present.
That 53 Topps Mantle BVG 7 is not worth $13,000.00 Since it's a BVG, you can drop the grade 1/2 to 1 full grading point (less) than a PSA…..also, a 7 depends on the eye appeal and most importantly …centering. You flashed that 53 thru so quick…it looks like the centering is off. A well centered card will appreciate more in the future..because, only 10 to 15 percent of cards are well centered…..govern yourself accordingly because… this is a well kept secret that high end investors employ when purchasing cards. The 2 (79's) are a no brainer….even if one knows nothing about cards, it would be hard to beat these 2.
A great selection of investment grade sports cards….
Pat, just stumbled onto this video. So so good. I'm in Manhattan Beach and have been uploading videos of going through sports cards. I just had my Mother send me a portion of my childhood collection from PA and I made videos on them. Brought back many memories no diggity no doubt. I'm in the entertainment industry and also an Authenticator for Topps Company for 14 1/2 years. Great video, speaking the truth. All I do, so keep it up. I may let you know about that Mantle and Honus, I'll ask around. Bout to start a podcast with Mitch owner of BullPen near LAX. Will be extremely entertaining. Good luck! Hit me up if you're in the area
After getting the opportunity to have the hobby be the career, I dove back into an old hobby and it's sports cards. I did action figures for a bit up only kept the ones that meant a lot and sold the rest, and still selling till this day. I'm more into cards than I ever been. I came from the early 90s junk wax era. Love the video. Aloha! ??????
Gold coin collector. Love your show lad
Love how you connected sports cards into better business performance. Also, Im looking to build my own basketball card collection. Great vid!
So true. Brings me back to being a kid and the joy of collecting cards. I still love it!
I collect Yu Gi Oh Trading card since i was a kid ?
I’m from England and I love to collect football cards (soccer lol) I have around 12,000 cards and I’m 16 I’ll probably go on for as long as I live
i collect basketball cards, comicbooks and die cast cars. but basketball cards are really my pride and joy.
This guy is the man.
PSA > Beckett
Expendable cash is good now but when recession hits….value of card will get hit hard!!
How much did you buy the 2 Gretzkys for and when? Would have loved if you included that tid bit
Most powerful man is the best to be bc you don’t have to worry about fame and not being able to live a full life bc everyone knows you (basketball player) if you’re the richest you have to worry about envy and people coming after you etc. for me it’s definitely powerful is the way to go.
What if in 1986 when I would buy fleer packs from the ice cream man I would have kept the Jordan rookies instead of putting them in my bike wheels to make a cool noise , what if ?
I have 5 79 opeechee gretzkys. I bought 3 boxes on packs in 1983 for $35. These 5 cards have been sitting in a binder in a box in a finished dry cool basement for the entire time. They are safe in a binder in a drawer in a room that nobody has been in since 2000. Maybe i should pull them out and get them graded. Last time i looked at them was in the mid 90s and they were sharp and good centering from what i remember. I dont knownif i care tonsell them but ine day i will
Love that Wilt, Amazing. The ones I have are from the 70's.
