  1. You know Julien I think you are really growing as a person, and you are growing into a good place.

  2. Julien, Nofap movement does have its fair share of over zealous practitioners. To my understanding your view on the manifestation of sexual energy in other forms seems to be a negative thing. While I agree that other forms of desire suppression are not necessarily beneficial, suppression of sexual drive is the first step in learning how to channel it into a driving force for success (Think and Grow Rich chap.11) Also Taoism philosophy believes that retention of "male energy" is necessary for health and longevity. After dismissing all the hype from nofap movement, there seems to be a basis for the practice and discipline of abstaining from porn and even masturbation<–(controversial). Would love to get one of rsd's most influential instructors a.k.a. Julien himself's in depth take on nofap and noporn.

  3. okok i think i got it, so what you are basically saying is that, as soon as you stop worrying about trying to get something out of a situation because you feel it fills a void inside you (let go): you realize you have everything you ever needed right here right now, everything else is just a plus.

for example: fruits, i love watermelon, as soon as i let go of the desire of eating a watermelon as a snack because it fills me with joy and happiness, I should instead look at it as, i don't need to eat watermelon all the time, if i have the opportunity cool, if not cool, and if and when i eat the watermelon i shouldn't consider it as something to make me happy because i should ALWAYS be happy, and instead look at it JUST as, well, the watermelon has many nutrients and tastes amazing so FUCK YEAH.

  4. Over the last couple years I have really let my "desire" take the driver's seat. As a result (or byproduct?) I did become very successful – but in hindsight that desire often lead me through an emotional roller coaster of constant highs and lows. If I did well, it would feed into it and I would desire more and more.. if I did bad, my ego would be beaten to shit.

But maybe desire is just step 1.. figuring out what you want. And as Julian often says, then get to the "why" behind it. I still "desire" now, but the more I let go of it, the more I feel the success being the wind at my back instead of the wall I have to constantly punch through.

  5. omg thank you, Julien, this totally makes sense when you are a person who is goal oriented. i always think that when i get that something, i will be happy. fuck no. i will still chase for more things. thank you man.

  6. Hey Julien, I understand letting go when it comes to pick up or women in general because you have to be outcome dependent but still have intent. This means your not needy and so on. What I'm a confused on though is how this applies to other areas of life. For example, money or success. Are you saying instead having a desire to gain financial freedom/success because I am a struggling college student and came from humble beginnings that I should let that desire go and it come from some where else? If so what are some examples of where it could possibly come from? My whole life I have had a desire to be successful or not be a failure(I know this is bad)and like you said I struggle with letting go because I don't know where the motivation would come from. THANKS FOR CHANGING MY LIFE BRO!!
