On Wednesday night, Elle magazine hosted its fourth annual Women in Tech gala. The Wayfair Tavern in San Francisco was filled with female founders, entrepreneurs, and industry insiders, celebrating a list that includes Kimberley Bryant, the founder of Black Girls Code and the cofounder of the Malala Fund, Shiza Shahid. Coding enthusiast Laura Medalia said, “There is a major gender gap in the industry, so it’s important that we celebrate women doing incredible things.”
