More Americans Are Embracing Streaming Video

In the past nearly 90% of American households had a VCR. Now, according to Nielsen, hardly any Americans have one. And for those who still do, there’s no data on if their machines still work. VCRs were first replaced by DVD players, personal computers, and video game consoles. B&C reports that a growing number of households get TV content over the air or via broadband. In fact, the number of broadband only homes has tripled.
