Stop Being Boring
Become The Most Memorable Person In The Room

Have you ever walked into a party afraid what people were thinking of you? Had someone forget they had met you before? Or stumbled your way through an awkward date? If so, this interview is for you…

Understanding people is the most important life skill a person can have. Yet, we are not taught people skills in school. Nor do our parents sit us down and teach us how to interact effectively.

But here’s the problem:
You can’t succeed in business, life or love without mastering people skills.

If you want to win the deal, get the date, negotiate the sale or influence others you have to understand the science of people.
• What makes someone charismatic?
• Why didn’t I get the date?
• Do people like me?
• How can I win the deal?

Well using the latest research on human behavior, psychology, and relationships Vanessa Van Edwards is going to answer those questions.

Vanessa Van Edwards loves inappropriately intimate questions, peering into people’s shopping carts at the grocery store and eavesdropping on strangers conversations in coffee shops. In other words, she loves to figure people out. She walks into parties determined to find out the most interesting thing about every person in the room.

Vanessa doesn’t believe there are boring people—just individuals afraid to expose who the really are. She’s allergic to uninteresting conversation, isn’t afraid to call BS and has long given up on social niceties.

Vanessa is a published author and behavioral investigator. She is a professional people watcher—speaking, researching and cracking the code of interesting human behavior for audiences around the world. Vanessa’s groundbreaking workshops and courses teach individuals how to succeed in business and life by understanding the hidden dynamics of people. Vanessa is a Huffington Post columnist and Penguin author. She has been featured on NPR, the Wall Street Journal, the Today Show and USA Today. She has written for CNN, Fast Company and Forbes.

  1. I trying to be most sociable as possible, but the people of my college only want to stay looking at their f**king cellphones. I was having problems to having deeper conversation with my collegues because they dont are so opened at all. I struggle to start conversation, i try different topics, asking question even suggested here on this video. But i feel that the people dont want to talk with me, because most of the time they aways answer me with "hmmmm" "nice" uhumm" what I doing wrong???

  2. I wonder if the theory corresponding to the evolutionary impulse to analyze an approaching person's hands is the very same historical origin of the cultural phenomenon of waving as a non-verbal acknowledgment or greeting.
