Very often I read about full stack development. Does that mean that these developers have the skill in all areas at once; including mobile apps. I personally would like to learn how to create and launch my own web applications; what would be the best to be able to do this. I ask this because after years of frustration finding good developers myself I decided to be self-sufficient and learn how to do this.

For someone without prior knowledge to Programming, what language would you guys recommend to start with? I was thinking JS, but it seems JS is mostly for simple websites. Idk. Things I'll like to use my programming skills for include, but not limited to the following:
– PWA (Progressive Web Apps)
– Mobile Apps
– Interactive Websites
– IoT devices
