Why Startups Innovate Faster than Internet Giants

Hurst Lin (MBA ’93), General Partner DCM China, talks about how startups are able to innovate at greater speed than large companies like Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent by focusing on specific use cases. Lin spoke on the panel “‘Made in China’ Innovation” at the China 2.0 Forum in Beijing hosted by Stanford Graduate School of Business on April 11, 2014. The panel was moderated by Marguerite Gong Hancock of China 2.0 and also featured Jing Wang, Senior VP of Engineering at Baidu.
