Watch me build a Responsive WordPress site from scratch! – Video One

More videos like this at http://labzip.com – In this video, I’m going to work without a net! Watch as I convert an out of the box new WordPress site into a gorgeous Responsive layout and design right before your eyes!

Best of all, I only use an FTP client, a text editor, and Firebug. Whooop!

This is in real time, and will have a few parts, so get comfy!

Cheers,
spence

  3. At video, cant wait to start building my first responsive site!

  4. Sometimes you have to use "!important" to force an override on the parent theme css.

  5. Hi Spence, thanks for the video. Appreciate your efforts this video has opened up a lot of doors for me with my web design. Can I ask you how you got the tab in the right hand side of your window that shows the height and width of your browser when you drag it closed or open it wider. Grateful if you could let me know. Cheers and thanks again.

  6. The issue with the footer width at 35-36 minutes was having width:100% and padding which adds together to make the footer wider than 100%

  7. Gaurav… I thank you, but for your sake…hope that you find someone better to sleep with 😉
    LOL!

  9. It would depend on whether the leading div has the "display:block" attribute… as well as the position:relative or :absolute. These all work together in "mysterious ways" to quote the U2 song 😉
