2D to 3D Conversion Software Test Using ‘3D Video Converter’ Software

Non biased test of ‘3D Video Converter’ software. This video is allow you to make up your own mind – I do not represent the software developers.

First half features 2D footage filmed with a regular HD camcorder. The second half is the same footage but processed with with 3D Video Converter software.

Processing was a drag and drop affair and took about two minutes.

Surprisingly effective for a $25 piece of software and better than some real time 2D – 3D conversion televisions out there.

Red/Cyan anaglyph glasses required. Latest 3D news – http://www.3dfocus.co.uk

  1. looks like the "right" eye is just a frame or 2 behind, that's the only way it can take a couple of minutes, you get the same effect by wearing a dark lens (sunglasses lens) over your right eye but not your left (the lens delays the light reaching your eye, try it while watching normal TV, anything moving right comes to the front)

  2. 3d still flat like 2d source to me. When people and producers understand the principle of the stereo 3D ? a software/hardware/computer doesn't understand any details of flat 2d mono you submitted to it, it only out the same picture two times so it normal the 3D output still flat without any depth effect because the the Left and Right eyes see exactly the same point of view so is still flat because is MONO on two channel, for true stereo the Left and Right eyes need to see different point of view

  3. Hi – its all real. It is the real results produced by the software. Whether the quality is good or not is a different matter.

  4. Hi – it's simply called "3D Video Converter". If you search the terms on Google you should find it – its something like 'convert-to-3d'. Cheers
